Dates Changed Kofa Mountain Camping and riding Jan. 10th Through 15th
Camping at Stone Cabin 27 miles south of I-10 on #95. Entrance is on the north side of parking lot. Camping area is behind the cabin.
1st ride is Jan. 11th @10:30AM. Ride will be to Palm Canyon with a hike, also Kofa Queen Canyon. Ride is Easy to Moderate. 40-50 miles, 5 to 6 hrs long. We will pack a lunch.
2nd ride is Jan 12th @9AM. Ride is Castle Dome rd and Big Eye mine. 50-60 miles. 5 to 6 hrs long. We will pack a lunch.. Going through Canyons and washes. We saw big horn sheep last time.
3rd Ride is Jan. 13th@ 9AM. Ride is to Castle Dome City Ghost town.Time will depend on how long we spend at Castle dome. Thier is a $15 fee to tour the town and mine. You can pack a lunch or they have a lunch truck on site.
This day we will move camp to mile marker 99 @ Lapaz County Camp. Where overnight night camping is free. 4th ride will be in this area. Those of you who don't want to go to Castle Dome could move camp early and go hang out in Quartzsite.
4th ride Jan. 14th @ 9AM Ride is to Guadeloupe Mountain and Dripping springs. This ride will be 30 -40 miles, 5-6 hrs. Moderate to difficult. The first part of the ride is pretty easy. But after Dripping Springs their is a wash with big rocks to nagociate for a while. Those of you who don't want to nagociate the wash can turn around and go back the way we came.
